In these three images you can see that I welded the two shapes together. In the first image, I have selected the top object to show that they are indeed separate objects. I used the weld tool to combine the vertices along these two polygons. If you look at the last image in this group, you can see that there is a before and after vertex count. This is another way that I can see that it has worked. There are 64 less vertices because they have been combined and welded to the corresponding v
In this group of images, you can see that I reduced the amount of geometry in this shape. I used the edge tool to select an edge, and I double clicked to get the full loop of the edge. I did this on every other line on the model and then removed it using the remove tool.
Here I used the extrude tool to make legs for a table. Neat dynamic tool that makes modeling easy.
In this last group of pictures, you can see how I edited this polygon by manipulating its vertices. I took the corner that was sticking out and brought it up so that it would be perpindicular to the floor. Then I selected the polygon as a whole and used the chamfer tool to chamfer the sides of the stairs.
