
In this snapshot, you can see me using the maya tool "Project Texture" to project an image onto an object.

In this image, you can see that I have selected a single object, but have applied multiple different materials to the individual faces of the object. This is a helpful tool and a great way to take advantage of using polygonal objects.

In this image, you can see that I used the UV editor to determine what was projected onto what parts of the model. This can be extremely dynamic and therefore makes it a powerful tool in Maya.
