Using NURBS to Make a Plane

In this snap shot you can see a 3d shape that is made using two planes that have been lofted. These planes are interesting in shape because they have curved edges. This planar shape was made by going selecting the 4 different curves that made up the edges of the plane, and select the "Planar" tool. The interesting thing is that the plane is still registered as a rectangular plane, but Maya uses the curved lines as a sort of way to trim the rest of the rectangle so that it isn't rendered.
