3ds Max Tutorials Chapter 4
I didn't post anything for the first 3 chapters of the tutorial because those were mostly just about the interface of 3ds Max and learning how to use it and customize it. And chapter 3 was just the basics of manipulating an objects transform, and how you can adjust the pivot and group objects together and clone objects.
Here is a clam shell that I made in 3ds Max. I used the stack modifier to add affects to the object and cause its shape to change. Then I duplicated the object and flipped it around and put it on top of the original object to make it look like a clam. Then I grouped them together so that they register as one object.
Here, I show an example of moving the pivot point of the cloned object so that it is in a place were I can adjust the rotation of the shell without having to readjust the location of it.
