3ds Max Tutorial Chapter 8

Subdivision Surface Modeling


This image shows me preparing the surface for subdivision surface modeling by creating more geometry, making sure they are all 4 sided polygons, and positioning the vertices in a way that I will be able to most effectively modify the model.













This is after I applied the new vertices and you can see the effects of the geometry after adding the Open Sub Division modifier to the modifier stack.













Here is the model that I made using the polygon geometry that I set up. It has created a pretty neat little chair.
